Church of God Home is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) which has been serving seniors of all faiths since 1948. Church of God Home, located near downtown Carlisle, joined the StoneRidge Retirement Living family in 2013. It offers a full spectrum of care with 45 one-bedroom independent living apartments, 5 studio apartments, 22 personal care and 58 skilled nursing rooms. Options for short-term rehabilitation and respite care are also available when needed. Church of God Home is a vibrant, bustling community with lots going on so you can engage with others as you continue to learn and grow. You can have a garden plot, enjoy the walking trails, participate in the many varied activities, take a day trip or catch a bus to go into town or visit any of the nearby attractions. Independent living means you can come and go as you please. You set you own agenda, and decide what to do with your day. LeTort Manor offers 36 comfortable one-bedroom apartments for independent seniors ranging in size from 576 to 737 square feet. Creekside Apartments includes 9 one-bedroom apartments (496 square feet) and 5 studio apartments (368 square feet). Services include your noon meal in the LeTort dining room, housekeeping, laundry and linen service, activities, pastoral visits, trips to Sight & Sound Theatre and Washington, D.C. and transportation to churches, shopping or the mall. Amenities include social rooms for visiting, reading, computer use or puzzling; an activity room where you can enjoy an exercise class or play a game of Wii; outdoor patios and gazebo; a fitness center; library; gift shop; a beauty and barber shop and a fine chapel. With personal care at Church of God Home, you can maintain a level of independent living while having the comfort and security of knowing there is 24-hour help when you need it. Perhaps you need assistance with the chores of daily living such as grooming, dressing and managing your medications. That’s all part of it, but the best part is you can set your own daily agenda and live with a level of independence. Personal care options include 11 private rooms and 11 semi-private rooms each with a half bath, 5 Creekside studio apartments (368 square feet) and 9 one-bedroom apartments (496 square feet). All options are climate-controlled by the resident and are available furnished or unfurnished. Church of God Home is an active community that has its own “downtown.” Services include three meals per day; assistance with daily needs; physical, occupational and speech-language therapies; entertainment and activities; housekeeping; laundry and linen service; transportation for trips and scheduled medical appointments and the services of a full-time chaplain. Amenities include two personal care dining rooms, a large therapy gym, library, lounges for socializing or entertaining guests, a beauty and barber shop, a fitness center, a gift shop, outdoor patios and gazebo and a lovely chapel.
Whether you are recovering from surgery or an illness and need some time to heal, short-term rehabilitation may be a good option for you. Our goal will be to get you back to your routine as quickly as possible. The services available include physical, occupational and speech-language therapies, strength and reconditioning, oxygen therapy, wound care, administration of IV antibiotics and equipment adaptation in preparation for the use of a walker, wheelchair and/or prosthetic device. Services include three meals per day plus snacks, 24-hour skilled nursing care, pastoral care if requested, housekeeping and laundry services, outdoor seating areas to provide for some fresh air, activities, entertainment and transportation to your follow-up appointments. And, after your rehabilitation if you require extended or continuing care there are several options for you to consider. These include extended rehab, independent living, personal care and skilled nursing.
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, it’s nice to know that as your needs increase there are still good options for you to consider. Skilled nursing residents receive full-time supervision and total care by a dedicated and highly skilled staff. Church of God Home also offers specialized memory care for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Accommodations include seven private rooms most with a full bath and 51 semi-private rooms each with a half bath. All rooms come furnished and include a television. Services include all daily meals plus snacks; assistance with daily needs; medication and healthcare management; physical, occupational and speech-language therapies; specialized memory care; housekeeping; laundry service; activities and entertainment; and transportation to appointments. Amenities include a private dining room, therapy gym, library, a beauty and barber shop, a gift shop, craft room and a fine chapel.
