Cub Scouts Build Houses With Seniors

The Myerstown Pack 460 of highly organized scouts and their den leaders, along with many volunteer parents, descended on StoneRidge Towne Centre to have some Christmas fun with the residents, play some music and construct houses - gingerbread houses.  The gingerbread house project began much earlier in the season when the scouts gathered and packaged all of the various food items that would make for wonderful gingerbread houses such as M&Ms, marshmallows, sprinkles, a wide variety of hard candies and, of course, spice drops.  Then, each resident received a round cardboard form with a pre-made basic gingerbread house attached.  These were done wisely ahead of time so most of the time could be spent with the scouts and residents decorating the house and the surrounding landscape.
